I would like to know if there are any members in the Wilts, Hants, Dorset, Somerset, Avon and Gloucs areas who'd be willing to meet up centrally for an exchange of chat etc. Or if you are not in these areas and don't mind travelling, you will be made to feel just as welcome.
I arranged a meet last year with some online friends at www.jaguarworld.com down at Cartgate picnic area on the A303 near Yeovil, Somerset, and we had a good turn-out, and a good old natter. Plus it gave eachother the chance to see what others are driving.
If there is enough interest, please post below and I will scour my road atlas to find a suitable meeting point. The Haynes Motor Museum is another favourite spot, but I will scout around.

Let me know either here or via PM if you think it's a goer ;D

Great, that's three interested :) Plus myself is four.

I am looking at Cartgate again seriously as the parking is free and there is a 24 hr cafe & toilets on site. Plus if we meet on a Sunday afternoon it won't be too heaving with other cars!! It's very easy to find, on the A303 just north of Yeovil. I am still looking around though, any suggestions?

Post office is closed on a SUnday but going to church may get in the way for him .
And a word of warning ..Having another dig at him is really ging to make him very disgruntled and could cost you CB's a lot in beer tokens ! ROFL @ }{

Thanks Gozz. Glad someone, apart from Snoopy, realises what us oldies have to put up with down here !!. Kids !!! ??? ;D ;D. We may get the chance of that beer next month as I'm staying at Rutland Water for a couple of days on the way to Harewood. ;)

Hi Guys, well I have to say, I'm quite impressed by the interest shown about doing this, so I'm going to stick my neck out here and say how about meeting up on Sunday 15th June, 2pm onwards at Cartgate picnic area, near Yeovil?

Bit of a trek for me from Woking, but I'll keep an eye on how this develops, and if you get a few I'll try and come down as well.
I'm sure we all imagine a day like this in glorious sunshine...what are our options if it's pouring??
I shall be consulting my GBG to see if anything is listed nearby...not that much beer can be had on a driving day, but we we could at least have a noggin and natter in a cosy bar.

I've got another Car Meet that day but with my Capri in Exeter at 1.30pm, so I won't be able to make this one :( Every weekend in June is full up for me :o

And as others seem to state that they can't make the 15th June, I'll have to have a re-think.
It may have to wait til July, after I've got a new MOT on my Scorp(hopefully) ;D ;D

Hi Playgirl,

I don't see why not, as this forum is as much about the people who have a passion for the Scorpio as it is about the car itself, so we'd love to see you there. I'm still an active member on the Jaguar forum, and I haven't owned a Jag for nearly a year, but still meet up with other members there.

I haven't re-set a date for the meet yet, but I will probably look at sometime in July, and I think Cartgate is the favourite place to meet.
