Just about 4 weeks to go now ;D

If you're planning on camping, please note that to get "Rally Rates" you have to:
  • Book at least 7 days in advance
  • Ask for "rally rates"
  • Quote a reference number

Billing say we're not allowed to publish the reference number on the internet ::). Please see the All Granada Rally (http://allgranadarally.co.uk/) site for details of how to get it or send a PM. For a standard pitch it will save you about £6/night.

Hope to see lots of you there.

Dave

I'll be going.

A word of warning:
I went for a long weekend under canvas there during the August bank holiday.......I would advise to take as much of your own food and drink as possible, prices are horrendous, especially in the Kingfisher club house, although Vinnies, the on site Indian restaurant (across from Shelduck 2) does a fairly decent breakfast for £4.80,

Breakfast includes:
Sausage 1
Bacon 1
Egg 1
Hash brown 1
Black pud 1
Fried bread 1/2
Mushrooms
Beans
Tomatoes

Tea and Bread are charged extra.
No toast (they dont have a licence for a toaster  ??? )

I doubt Billing Aquadrome would cancel anything that brings them revenue in.

Cast your mind back to last year to the Land Rover show, Ploughed fields would be an understatement.

Just spoke to Billing Aquadrome reception at 12 noon Sat and they tell me that Shelduck2 (the display field) is still operational, nothing has been canceled by the club that is organising the event as far as they know.

FSOC has now officially cancelled tomorrows National Day :(

From what im told, they're also evacuating the park and theres no word on when its going to re-open, so check carefully before travelling anywhere people.

What a weekend eh !!!

Apologies for not being able to keep you upto speed here but we had only limited comms on site  :-[

Big thanks to all who made the trip and stuck it out from Friday afternoon till late Sunday afternoon, and those that made the trip on Sunday, hopefully you can now appreciete why we started to bottle it late on Saturday evening and we just had to let folks know what the conditions where like

When we arrived on Friday evening there where just a few small puddles ........

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a104/Scorpiounleashed/DSC07373.jpg

By Sunday morning we had THIS........

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a104/Scorpiounleashed/billing/DSC07408.jpg

Dunno why that picture wont show up ?? perhaps one of the mods can take a look as it seems to be correctly inserted and the links OK theres a strange %20 in the link thats not on my desktop ? the / was missing from [/img] at the end of the link. hth and bear in mind quite a bit had drained off by morning, but we pressed ahead with a cut down sort of show done on the roadways around the field  ;D

Overall considering the weather and the conditions I still think we did actually have....... not only a good time but at the end of the day a VERY good turnout of cars something like 50-60 cars in the end booked in, plus a fair few that didnt.

Give us a few days and we will get some pictures on the www.AllGranadaRally.co.uk for you guys and girls to have a giggle at or there are some being posted now on the Unleashed Forum.

Thanks again to those that made the trip.

hi there

you all did really well considering the conditions.

I've put the pictures my wife took up here (http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/davidb24v/Billing2008?authkey=C7OlT7xyRh0#) as a Picasa Web Album.

They're mostly of the weekend as a whole and don't really cover the show too well - the downside of helping to organise things I guess.
