Great get-together  :).....

........I was a bit apprehensive before I got there, as it was my first meet, but everyone was real nice & easy to get on with, which made for a good day out  :D

A good meet and great fun.  The new 'slimline' Taliban lived up to his reputation as CB2 aided by Dave N !. If anyone has a list of car washes in the area please pass it to CB2  ;D or if you like pigeon pie give him a shout and he'll direct you to a great location.  ::). Nice to see JC and his family in Carolines new car.

Excellent meet. After paying the obligatory homage to the mighty Simmo, the Scorps began to roll in. 9 lovely cars but unfortunately it looked  as if Taliban had teed off about a hundred pigeons at some time and they had practised getting their eye in! Good to see Scorpio Mike and Caroline again and JC and his lovely family. ( must have a good natter next time John).  I'm sure I saw Simmo blush when he was asked for his autograph! Tompion spent some time under Bruce's lid and emerged like a chimney-sweep. Well his hands anyway. Pegasus' lap-top was whizzing from car to car-great  fun. Taliban was his new slim-line self and Daven was still giving Simmo some stick. (could be a wrong move Dave, you know how some people can get if the new found power goes to their head) All in all it was great fun. Thanks all.

I know we all missed V4-Max, aka CB1 so I have sent John a PM to try and find out how he's getting on after the demise of his Scorp. I have also sent a PM to Ray/Sylv.  Gotta keep an eye on the regulars!. :) Mike.

Wasnt sure where to post this, but here goes , Tompian (dave) did scan doe abs prob found pump controller faulty, I had already done the repair on pins as per this site, so Dave checked that contoller and appears all ok, great, so today went to friendly mechanic who changed pump assembly for me( couldnt get controller off , star bolts rounded) anyway changed whole pump  and ?????? light went out for first time ever, thanks Dave, thats what this site is all about!!!  Dave u are a STAR

:( hi all. i have'nt recievied any messages from you mike? but here is an update of my 55,000mile cosworth. basically the camshaft failed due to a lack of oil pressure destroying several valves in the process.and in my opinion beyond economical repair. i could buy another one for less than the cost of parts. anyway it has been scrapped so i am now scorpioless. i have kept some of the parts off of it, wheels brand new battery that was only on the car for 20 minutes before it blew, wood effect radio, good rear view mirror half wood steering wheel and cd changer, as i was going to get another scorp so thought the parts would come in handy, but have decided against it. i now have a v6 cougar not as comfy or as fast as the cossie but hope it proves more reliable. i was going to pop in to the last meet but did'nt want to take up a valuable space, and besides it did'nt need washing. i hope you all have better luck than i had with mine and have many more smiles of happy motoring good luck to you all. Dave, I'm sorry to hear that you are without a Scorp BUT please feel free to come and join us at the next meet. I think I speak for all of us when I say that we seem to have such a great rapport as a group that it is the people who are important and not the car they drive. Regrettably many people are having to let their Scorps go on purely economic grounds but it would be a shame to loose touch. You need to come to see the new 'slimline' Taliban anyway !!. ;D  Thanks for your kind thoughts, Mike. ;)

Hi guys,

Sorry I missed the recent July meeting. I only managed to get to one meeting at Badgers. I started work in Basingstoke back in April and as I stay there weekdays, I missed all the postings in here.

Anyway, you may have noticed elsewhere my Cossie is up for sale, as it's being replaced. So, I may not get to any future meets.....and as I am not one to show off my new car...best I stay away :-)

Anyway, nice to meet you all, Simmo, Cheekyboy, Pegasus, Gost etc, and all the best with your Scorps in the future.

PS..I may surprise you all at the next Badgers meet, but then again...I may not :-)

it'll be good to meet up and have a chat/drink - don't need a Scorp for that - it'll also give us a chance to weigh up the 'replacements'  ;) - and  it'll be interesting to see if we can scan 'em.
