Does that work on the Galaxy?

I know the VW Sharan and the Seat Alhambra are the same as the Galaxy but do they all use the VAGCOM?

Shame it's too far I wouldn't have minded going to this. I could even have gone in a Galaxy, a new member to the fleet and a 2.3 as well.  :'(
Yes a 2.3 the one with the ridiculously placed oil filter }{ and as for the Galaxy's pollen filter access.....don't get me started.  @

hi mike

the pollen filter isn't as bad as it appears. i changed one on the galaxy that i had a loan of. i did the ford way and had most of the front of the car on the road.

read on the galaxy forum that you only need to take the bottom panel off and you should be able to reach it. something like that, anyway.

Aye! something like that! three bolts and it's loose but unfortunately the air hose from the airflow meter to the throttle body and the header tank are both in the way and the header tank does not like being moved. Also just to add to the misery, I discovered having removed the battery to facilitate the header tank's movement that the battery tray needed some slight attention and so ended up taking this out also after discovering a small amount of rust on it. Shot blasted and repainted it and now it looks grand again. Though I think I might still actually redo it again when I finally get my powder coating kit.
Anyhoose, having done the job for the first time it proved to be a pain but I'm sure next time it will be a little easier and quicker.  }{
