Hi every one

would anyone be up for going to the historic car show at Dartmouth part in West Bromwich on the 9th May

Entry will be £3 per car and would need a minimum of 4 to get a club stand? I've got the information with me but thought id see what interest there is before i post that bit. I will need to know fairly soon as this is a huge show and is very popular (over 1000 cars). The show has a large auto jumble, market, toy and craft fairs, trade stands and displays by the fire and ambulance crews

Hope to have the unleashed crew here as well

You can put me down for this one Matt  ;). For those of you who dont know of the Sandwell show, it is absolutley huge & a great day out. West Brom is just outside of Birmingham & within easy reach of the M5. Come on chaps & lasses... Who's up for a day of cool cars & good company ?  ;D

It's a premier inn - just up the road from the event, under ground parking and have dining facilities

heya

i'd like to meet up around 8am up the road at netto and do a convoy to the show,

however i realise that for members coming from a distance thats a bit unfair

rules wise i dont really think it matters about arrival time as ive seen cars turning up at 12 before

i think its a strict rule about leaving though due to the amount of cars/people

Will anyone be bringing an OBD 2 to sanwell, would like to see what the old girl throws up, a lack of an auto box is bound to be one or more codes, plus ive got the abs and traction lights showing all the time :S im sure there will be some tinkering going on :P

I've not really done much more than change the boot locking settings, check looms and program some keys

Who would like a meet at about 8am in the Netto car park just up the road from the show ground and collect you tickets from me (address for Netto The Farley Centre The Ringway West Bromwich B70 7QU)

Hello anyone going to sandwell, who  has a rear veiw mirror, a drivers side headlamp seal ( the one with the lugs on it ), a drivers side door pocket, without the memory seat buttons. If anyones got any i would be gratefull......... Cheers

Pretty sure i have a mirror some where ( auto dimming ). I have door pockets but they have the hole for the memory seat buttons. Headlight seal ? ? ?  I'll have a look :-)

Sorry folks, I am the one that Matt mentions in his post and won't be able to make it, or if I did it would be in a Honda Civic.

Both Scorps are off the road, my Ultima with engine problems and the gearbox on my Mk1 has packed in.

Toyed with the idea on engine from Mk1 into the Ultima but going to have to miss the 9th >:( hope to be back on track by Harewood.

Car type is not a problem as tickets DO NOT have any info regarding car type or any info, just plot number

Just a quick note to say the tickets that required posting were sent yesterday. Could you please let me know when you have recieved them ( just to stop me worrying ) ;-). Just out of curiosity , has anyone seen the weather forecast for the weekend....... :-( :-(. Any tips for polishing a car in the rain would be appreciated :-) ;-)

I have mine, car has been cleaned but could be dirty after 250 mile run to show. Just had a look at weather, showers, but it says that for thursday friday and saturday.

Right then, i finish work at 4 , & have no internet at home at the moment ( useless virgin media ) so am unlikley to be back on until Monday. I have a mirror & door pocket to chuck in the boot for a member & am happy to bring other parts if i have them. If i cant get back to the computer before i go home my number is .....07806 983 436. Got a servo problem I think, every now and again the brakes are really stiff, just started the other night but I'm not going to have time to look at it before I leave.

My other 24v is out on loan and I can't bring the diesel saloon as I have some engines and gearboxes to pick up! (Thanks Matt and Dave)!! ;)

so i'm coming down in a 2 litre scrapper Estate I was almost taking to bits last week!! :)

Heya everyone

To all who attended, i would like to say thank you, was a great day, mostly hot and sunny. Great to finally put some more names to faces and to finally meet Stuart, only took 5 years of scorpio ownership and meets and i can safely say Shaun isnt the only one who got burnt!!

As Shaun says, A fantastic day out.
Thanks to Matt for swapping the radio fascia over for me.

Dont know about you guys, but i had a great time :-) Really good to finally put some faces to names & have to say the standard of the cars was superb. Strangely enough the weather was quite sunny, so im sure most of us went home with sunburn ( i know i did ). All told a cracking day with a great crowd :-)......Roll on Harewood :-)

LOL. It was so highly polished that when you pulled away the roof rails were missing.

We had a very good day, if a bit on the long side due to distance,  520 miles and average of 24mpg and average speed of 71mph.  Head burnt due to sun, as some others were.  Will look at pictures in camera and if any good, dont hold your breath on that, will post on here. Did anyone get a plaque in the end . If I had waited I would have been later home than the 20.45 I got home.

I didnt get one,

I took off in pursuit of a Ford Falcon and Lamborghini Countach through the middle of West Brom, with a boot load of engines and gearboxes! ;)

Nice to meet you Gerald and the others who were there that I known for years just by their usernames! ;D

And thanks to Paul for picking up and keeping my load protector for what seems like years!!

That Falcon of yours appears to have rear wheel steer on the roundabouts ;)

I think the polishing must have worn away the mounts ;D

Enjoyed the day out. Rear steering in the falcon....it's the only way!!

I'm just surprised that the boot liner lasted in our depot for so long.
