If you're planning to travel through Switzerland this year you will need one of these. They cost over 27 euro, the tax is levied at the border, and the tailback at the border can lead to delays of 20/30 minutes.

I've just come back from a motorbike tour to southern Italy and I'm selling mine for half price (14 euro or 10stg) inclusive of post to the UK or Rep of Ireland. Not alone will you save money but you will save yourself a delay at the border.
