Title: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)for GB Post by Dane.scorpio on Jul 23rd, 2005, 4:36pm Hello! I'm Dane from Germany. I bought the dark headlights of a Scorpio Ultima here in Germany, but the seller tricked me... >:( They are of a Scorpio from GB , so they are not allowed in Germany because the direction of the light is another. (left side traffic <-> right side traffic).. So I want to sell them to someone from GB. Someone interested in it ? Normal costs for them are 350€ EACH. So make a good price for them. Regards Dane |

Title: Re: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)fo Post by Baz on Jul 24th, 2005, 11:14pm Dane, Is there a difference with the Scorpio headlights? Doesn't the switch inside the light govern wether it is left or right hand drive? As for the 350 euros, you can buy just the lenses for about £45 |

Title: Re: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)fo Post by Dane.scorpio on Jul 25th, 2005, 1:31am The ford guys told me that they can'T change anything of the headlight, because then , they would have to let a big checkup be done by the controlling Company (TÜV in Germany) for each detail they change. |

Title: Re: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)fo Post by Baz on Jul 28th, 2005, 9:08am Dane, how much are you looking for? As you can see above, two new lenses (which are the bits that usually break) cost 150€ with postage. You are saying yours cost 700€ (and I can believe that) but you would also have postage on top to UK. Name your price and people will react accordingly I guess Baz |

Title: Re: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)fo Post by Highlander on Jul 28th, 2005, 5:15pm What I meant is.. if we can buy them over here for £100 then £160 from you not including postage isnt a very tempting offer. Can you not resell them in Germany? It looks like you would get a better price for them that way |

Title: Re: Scorpio Ultima '95 Headlights (dark version)fo Post by Baz on Jul 28th, 2005, 9:04pm That's what I thought. It says on the site: "Continental driving Recently I received e-mails from several owners who intend to drive their cars abroad. One said that he couldn’t find the proper masks to fix on the headlights to prevent dazzle, while another said he had some masks but didn’t know where to stick them. Someone else thought that a Ford main dealer had to adjust the headlights. In fact the facility to change the beam to suit continental driving is built in on all Scorpios and you can change them yourself while you wait for the ferry/train. There are no deflectors or masks to use which cuts down the light from the headlights and no additional expensive units to buy." |
