Not sure if any of you are after a Scorpio at the moment, but if you are, this would be a cracker.
I know this car and its a beauty. Also, the mileage stated on this is genuine.

[] Paul it's absolutely superb, the car was at the Midlands meet again yesterday. Whoever gets it will grab an immaculate motor, it drives like a dream.

Too bad it's RHD and would cost a fortune to import..   :(

Would probably be taxed around £10k or more if I were to bring it up here..

Edit:

Did a quick check.. total cost would be £16k (incl the car).. + shipping.. Just love this country..

mmm... i wonder if jack's still in the market, last i heard he was after a low mileage, face lifted 24v, and although he wanted a state blue one, im sure he'd go for this.

Have a read of this regardlessof condition its only worth about £2500.
http://www.parkers.co.uk/pricing/used_car/valuation.aspx?deriv=9897&model=241&plate=57&pay=false&buyorsell=sell

Way too pricey really but good luck to him . I hope he can get iit.

A car is only worth what somebody is prepared to pay for it.
If some one will pay £4000 then its worth it, (to that person)
I have a 2.8 Janspeed turbo Capri, (hence the name)
It is insured for £5000 agreed valuation, but when i put it on ebay a few months ago it struggled to raise £2000, the reserve was set at £3000. so i will keep it for now as i`m not giving it away.
But as regards the Scorp, if the guy is patient and maybe drop the price a little bit he will get a buyer.

Agreed janspeed, cars are worth what people want to pay. I have seen a couple of Scorpio's go above £3500 in the last 6 months. I would never pay even half that but some do ;D
Others have gone for £600 & they do look good cars ;)

Yeah & keep that Capri it will only go up in value if you look after it.

Will have to see who's shopping on ebay but I am sure someone will buy it eventually. :)

i agree,i paid over the top for mine at the time, but it was what we wanted....
the car in question does have a "book price" as snoopy has stated, and that price is about right for a 98 cossie,BUT after seeing this car,if somone is prepared to pay that for it,and if it was what they wanted,i think they would be getting a cracking car regardless.......

And then some old bloke pulls out on you on the way home from picking it up and crunches it and you get £1600 from the insurance payout!! ;D

well said craig, howdie, and snoopy,

without doubt that is the finest low mile 24v ultima you are gonna find, and add to that in exceptional condition,  average miles of roughly around 5,500 per year, and there is a bargain awaiting for someone.

if the asking price is met, well done (again bargain for new owner), but too me, if i were selling, on a private sale, £3,500 is excellent value for money.

whoever buys this car will not be dissapointed, they are few and far between!

Russ

p.s asked the mrs, and she said no!

p.p.s valid point baz!

if he started his bid price at 2500 with a reserve not met he would get someone bidding on it. once the bids start coming in people start going bid crazy as wev'e seen before and he might get somewhere near the price he is after. 4000 is to high to start off with. :)

ps i paid 4000 for mine but that was 2 years ago with 52.000 on the clock and that was probably too much then but it is what i was after.

Well I would buy it. I have the cash waiting but I don't particularly like the colour more than my silver (Sorry Craig) bit lilacy for me and it would take forever to remove the gadgets like I had to do last time and ended up with two S regs on the Drive for weeks!! The wife got a bit moany after a while

Whoever does get this is in for a fantastic car but mine runs OK and only has 77K on the clock anyway.

I am still holding out for the V reg Cosworth with delivery mileage only to come up for sale!

The police have started using silver cars as they have a higher resale price than white ones  ;)
Why do you think Baz has one ;D

Title: Re: Lovely Ultima For Sale

silver cars and sheep come to mind  :P . scorpio's look great in silver due to there's not to many about. the problem is that every other car on the bl**dy road is silver.  ;)

But that is what makes the silver cars a more attractive proposition!!! Mine could be a brand new car you see.............apart from the mileage, styling, rust etc...
