Title: Wood & Leather Steering Wheel Post by Baz on Nov 8th, 2005, 10:27pm Almost time for the annual trip to EuroDisney (although judging by the news, the rioting may not be over by then!!) Marvelous isn't it, if the French had fought the Germans like that the second world war might have been over by 1940! Anyway I digress, I have said steering wheel with cruise buttons on. It is for sale for the highest offer. PM me. If it doesn't reach what I would like, it will go on EBay Thanks Baz |

Title: Re: Wood & Leather Steering Wheel Post by Paul B on Nov 8th, 2005, 10:36pm Baz, I'd love to have this steering wheel off you, but having just had to spend so much on parts for mine (to even get it to run again) I really don't think I can afford what its worth. :( |

Title: Re: Wood & Leather Steering Wheel Post by craig on Dec 1st, 2005, 7:15am i think everybody would like 1 of these, only problem is though craig, because of this (as you already know) they fetch very good money, which the majority wouldn't want to pay (look at the last 1 i had,you said it wasn't worth what i sold it for),although i could of sold it 10 times over .... :o :o.... shame, but there you go..... |

Title: Re: Wood & Leather Steering Wheel Post by Baz on Dec 7th, 2005, 1:52am Simon dear chap....I certainly hope you are not refering to me in your observations. I have been a member on here for many years (as have you) and have lost count of the number of items I have given FOC to people (including postage) I have also put people onto breakers yards and other places where they can get their bits from as well as countless EBay auctions, so by incinuating that I or anyone else are trying to screw money from other members is a little below the belt to say the least. The wheel I sold recently made me a profit of £25 quid. I bought it from a guy in Germany and having paid the bank transfer charges, that was what I got. As Craig says they can sell for a lot more because they are rare and are very sought after despite what some may think. The only real exploiter of Scorpios are the breakers who advertise on EBay and who will break whole good cars because they are worth more in bits to those of us who still drive them. One guy on EBay who we all know well charges more than Fords and recently bought two passenger headlights for £15.00 each and immediately put them on hios site at 3 x that amount because "he has a business to run" |

Title: Re: Wood & Leather Steering Wheel Post by paulscorp on Dec 7th, 2005, 11:56am Well all i can honestly say, i haven't come across anyone here yet that tries to screw the members, i think you'll find that the majority are more than willing to help out if they can. I have seen, on many occasions, that members will post here what they have for sale, giving members a chance to get it before it goes on ebay, and therefore a chance to (maybe) get it cheaper. There may be exceptions to the rule, but i've not seen them yet. And yes Baz, I know who you are talking about, and some of his prices are nothing short of extortion, and i think you'll agree, this is why we stick together. As for the steering wheel, i think they look nice, and would actually pay the price if extra funds were to hand Regards Paul |
