I just like it!! Thought I'd have a go but the reserve will be far in excess of what it is worth anyway I guess....

I think I might have peeded him off a bit 'cos I sent him a message telling him that V153 JDU was a Nouveau Red 2.3 Ultima and so his can't have been the last one registered!! Also, the build date on this is 20 days before My Silver S reg and a full 40 days before my old Red S reg which had a build date of June 17th 1998 (now that must have been one of the last ones ever built!!)

How does one find ones build date?

Title: Re: V-Reg
Post by Baz on Feb 17th, 2006, 8:10pm
One imparts one's original registration number or ones VIN number and one enters it into a software program and it tells one!! Want to know?

S425 RPU

Title: Re: V-Reg
Post by Baz on Feb 17th, 2006, 11:17pm
Hey Highlander....mine was originally S184RPU!!

Mickey, yours is showing a build date of 25th August 1995. No colour shown but it says it has Raven Leather. There is of course the usual exhaustive list of extras; global closing, auto dim mirror etc. etc. YOF is a London reg too, I used to have a 1968 Corsair V4 UOY481F!

Highlander, yours has a build date of 4th June 1998. Belladonna paint with raven leather plus the extras which is quite a list including side airbags and reverse parking sensors; so a fully loaded model.

LOC, are you sure that is the registration the car originally had? it doesn't show any details for yours. It may have had a private plate on before you bought it at some time and has been given another number

Baz

If you want to PM me the last 7 digits of the VIN, it will show up then and may even reveal the orginal reg!

Danny,

Build date actually shows as the 21st December 1994. Quite how many Ford workers would be sober enough by then to build a car is open to debate. This later version (Jan 2006) gives a date as well as a month too!!

Is this a software thing and is it available?
Or has it been "aquired"?

Nice one! I have a Supra that does that, the more toys the better I say, so whats the mod involve Baz?

Gone slightly off topic here me thinks!

Title: Re: V-Reg

think the link has been lost in 1 of the system crashes
:-/,basically exactly as baz says, you can open/close all the windows and sunroof with the remote ....
oh,and all the doors lock when you get to 20 MPH as well..... 8)

it consists of a black box of tricks that steve collister makes up for you (about £65.00),you then take about 2 hours fitting it (about 13 wires if iremember),then bingo, job done....... 8) 8)
