It was me that bought them.

I figured with a fleet of 2 scorpios ( hardly a fleet when compared to Stuart's 16 cars but a fleet for me!) and an advisory on one of the car's MoT tests about slight play in the wishbone I better get ready for changing them in the near future.

Are these available from others than Ford (and of course cheaper than Ford)?

In theory, wouldn't it be up to drilling a hole in the correct place (precision work), making a thread and fitting a joint of the correct size and height? On the other hand, if the drilling fails or there's damage elsewhere, it would be a waste of time, let alone it needs to be taken off in one piece. I one of the guides that wasn't possible.

How much difference is there to the mk3 Granada?

Just found out Quinton Hazell also makes them. They're not however any cheaper than Ford original. Maybe QH is the OEM manufacturer.

LH = QSJ2101S (or FAI Autoparts SS4762, FINIS 7372346, Pearl Products PSA546)
RH = QSJ2102S (or FAI Autoparts SS4763, FINIS 7372345, Pearl Products PSA547)

Googling QSJ2101S came up with an image:
HERE (http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?hl=en&sl=de&u=http://www.ls-autoparts.com/Artikel.asp%3FItem_Number%3DQSJ2101S%26Parts_manufacturers%3DQUINTON%2520HAZELL%26FazTyp%3D383974f10c1f0083ddfc4f759f85217f%26Sprachnr%3D1&ei=xmnpSsjrBpyk-Ab-jeDoCw&sa=X&oi=translate&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CAgQ7gEwADgK&prev=/search%3Fq%3DQSJ2101S%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26start%3D10
)  Click on the camera symbol for picture

Looks cheaper:

)

Can’t find any on the web in the UK, but could be worth trying the QH part no’s at a parts shop.

25 Euros EU flat shipping is also quite reasonable, especially if you need other stuff as well. Only problem though it's out of stock at the moment it says. Luckily I don't think I have a problem though with mine other than perhaps the rear bushes at most :)

Wishbone rear bushes are stocked for around £16 +vat at FPUK a piece, so still available. With the QH wishbones, other German stores seems to list them but not at 80 euros as in the link.

Nothing new :)... but...

Ball joint cups are removable with the right equipment and also feature a timken part number, so im pretty sure they can be replaced :) - i have removed one so far but not had the time or inclination to do anything with it lol

Not something you can attempt at home tho (unless you have an oxy torch and a press)

As to the rear bush, a phone call to spectra revealed they can make something suitable to the requirements in polyurethane - just need to send an example as a pattern.

On a sad note tho, one of my trade contacts has informed me that even FMC have delisted new arms, so its a case of dwindling stocks from now on :(

The German dealer Tompion (http://www.parts2go.de/Achsaufhaengung-Radfuehrung/Lenker/Lenkerlagerung/Lenker-Quer-Laengs-Schraeg-/Lenker-Radaufhaengung-QUINTON-HAZELL::849269.html) informed us about, now lists the Q&H wishbones as available again.

These wishbones are currenly listed on the Quinton Hazel 'Qpid' system.
QSJ 2101S left hand,QSJ 2102S right hand.I am going to the factors in a day or two ,will check actual availability and price.
