Hi Tonyboy, thanks for the welcome.

Apart from the rear arches and bottom of the tailgate, the car is too good to break although it needs work for an mot i think. The puropse of buying the car was for it to provide engine/box for my Police Car and use as a short term runner until the MOT/Tax runs out (Aug 31) and Id sourced a new everyday family car.

The price I paid for the car was a steal given how much Id have to fork out for a 2nd hand bob engine. Breaking the car will just bring in a few funds off the price of the car and provide me with all the vital parts I want for the Cop Car.

Hi Tono, firstly welcome to the site for the best info and help you could want for your scorpio. Secondly, how much for the wheels and would you have the passenger seat loom to work the electric seat please. Regards Lee

Hi Lee,

Thanks for the welcome.

Wheels are £110 ono

The passenger seat loom is all comeplete and in the car. I dont need it for my Police car. How much of the loom do you require?

Here are the wheels. The second photo shows the worst one. Its flaky paint as opposed to corrosion/kerbing.

Hi Tony, Wheels are nice but at the moment too rich for me in unemployment terms.  Regarding the passenger seat loom, I need whatever it takes to get the passenger seat to move from the seat to wherever it goes !!! Regards Lee

Lee, do you know where the loom travels too and if there is a multiplug that just unplugs somewhere further up the loom.

Ive not started to strip the car yet so havent a clue of where the wiring looms run yet.

Tony

My Police Car is a 24v Ghia and part of Essex Police's fleet. It was in fact the last Scorpio that Essex Police registered to their fleet in September 1997. Id like tyo see some pictures of your car in service Rich. I did not know that Avon & Somerset had them.

HI. Not being an expert myself, I have asked Simmo and he replied "The loom I think you are referring to runs through the V, hence the problems, and should be readily identifiable. It will feed the injectors and other sensors so there will be a number of connection points possibly running down to the gearbox". If you still have it and it's in good condition, could you let me know how much including postage? Cheers.

As this part of the loom is part of the engine, Ill be keeping it as Im using the engine in my Police car. Sorry.

Will check for you later Matt.
Only problem is, the leccy motor has been sold so getting the roof out could be a b****r unless a manual winder can be fitted to slide roof backwards.

Do you have rear shockers (self levelling) ?

If, as I suspect, these are long gone read These two pages (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=admin;action=display;num=1282569538) where you will see that Sierra ones are a suitable match but NOT self levelling. :)

The shockers have long gone. There is very little left of the spares I took from the car.
