Title: Dead BOB limo.
Post by gozz on Nov 23rd, 2011, 9:35pm
In my yard is the remains of a Grosvenor limousine with a BOB engine. It is soon to take to the banger track, the lad says he puts Granada carburetter engines in them and doesn't want the 24v,although he will take it for weighing in.Do any of you souls want it or any bits, there is NO water pump, alternator, thermostat or bypass hose.I am not inclined toward removing it myself, nor to major strip down,I'm trying to give up all this desperate mechanicing, supposed to be a retired gent  ;D ::) If you come with spanners you can help yourself  8)

Matt.
Your name's on em ! I wont let the lad take it 'till we've got what we want.I don't think he's too desperate,he's happy that I've said he could have it.If time permits I'll make a start to save you time later.

Shame the parts are not already off, I'm in Peterborough for the day this Saturday and could offer a relay service back to leicester saving you some money on fuel costs Matt.

I have one but it would be tricky to guarantee satisfaction, they are awkward to remove and wouldn't want you to do it all for nowt.Presumably you have a brief cold chain rattle ? they go on for years like that with a bit of luck.I seem to remember Ford produced an improved version later,no doubt obsolete like most 24v bits.

Mat. Is that the repair kit?, I have one of those, or the body. I dont want to b****r up the one on the engine, I want one to fix and then put on. Mine  a 98 with the new type adjuster, but it still rattles a bit.
