Title: A complete car not working Post by EinA on Apr 28th, 2016, 9:10am Hi, My old faithfull has finally died, This is a P reg Ultima cosworth fitted with a very good LPG system. unfortunately it has to be moved from my local garage (langley, Slough) by Saturday. Other wise it will just be scrapped. Not worried about selling maybe a few quid to a charity. Please email as soon as possible if interested. jdcoward-AT-gmail-dot-com best regards David |

Title: Re: A complete car not working Post by michaelelise on Apr 28th, 2016, 2:55pm Hi Ben24v, Depends where you live I have a complete LPG system with the tank half full and the injection system still connected to the inlet so it's just the case of drilling holes for the tank, two behind the rear seat for the wires and one in the dash for the switch and gauge. I am in Hertfordshire. |

Title: Re: A complete car not working Post by EinA on Apr 28th, 2016, 3:18pm Hi Michael, A Pipe that goes through the front of the engine is leaking, garage says can't find a spare. Engine just stopped when another garage was returning the car. AA could not get it working, garage thinks it might be the cpu but can't test it till leak fixed. Its not drivable. David |

Title: Re: A complete car not working Post by michaelelise on Apr 28th, 2016, 8:13pm Hi David, thanks for the reply. Just a thought was you driving the car when it stopped and would not start or the garage, did they put fuel in i.e. Wrong fuel. Or has the button in the boot tripped out. Or is it water in the loom me get just need drying out. The problem is I have no way of getting the vehicle back to my address or I might of been interested. Don't give up on the car just yet. You have not said if its a water pipe but we are assuming it is. Michael |

Title: Re: A complete car not working Post by EinA on Apr 28th, 2016, 10:15pm Hi a900one, Yes, probably is that pipe, previously I've had the same problem with spares. Garage can't find them I've found them as easy as you have. Anyway spoke to the garage this afternoon and the opinion was it would end up being very expensive to fault find if it is the cpu etc. I know about wiring faults there's been a few on this car and my previous Scorpio. If I'd had the space I would have made it a project for the summer but no space. I've had a good run with this Scorpio its done over 179,000 was still going well until another local garage tried to fix the leak gave up and then it stopped. The good news in 5 years of motoring the LPG has saved me over £6500 vs petrol. Even better the car came with the LPG already fitted ;D David |
