Title: Re: Facelift Front Bumper Post by johnv on Feb 5th, 2005, 7:52am why is everyone wanting face lift bumpers. they are not much different from the others. there is that sort of cut out by the lights that's all. |
||
Title: Re: Facelift Front Bumper Post by Paul B on Feb 5th, 2005, 8:18am I think they're actually more different than first meets the eye. The main difference is indeed those air intakes beside the fog lights. But I think all the edges are a bit sharper on the facelift version. Not much, but a bit. Have a look here... Facelift Differences (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/facelift.htm) |

Title: Re: Facelift Front Bumper Post by Baz on Feb 5th, 2005, 9:42am Dean, I doubt they will be that common. There were only 6000 facelift vehicles made (according to the figures on the main site) and a lot of them will have ended up in Germany so rarity value is indeed guaranteed!! John, they are very different as Paul has said. The old bumpers are very round and flowing while the facelift ones have a more angular look. (A bit like Krytons forehead!!) |

Title: Re: Facelift Front Bumper Post by johnv on Feb 8th, 2005, 8:56pm yes baz i know what you mean. the 1998 2.3 estate i got as the face lift bumper. but i mean you got to real study them to realise the different. I wonder is I got a face lift bumper to put on my 1998 cosworth would that put about £1000 or maybe £500 on the price you could sell the car for. (only joking) I suppose they fit straight on i.e. the old one off and the new one on. |
