Hi Guys,

Now i've got my new facelift bumper i now need the bigger fog lights/smaller indicators to fit it. Has any one got a set before i go to Fordpartsuk?

What about you Baz?

no....
please dont tell me the foglights dont fit as well,have already had a few issues with the headlight washers....
fitzy,are you 100% sure they are not the same

hi craig

they should be the same size. someone said they were tinted to match the new headlight but i can't confirm that.

but hope this helps a little fitzy,the facelift grill and lights are on the blue car on the right...

Hi Craig,

The grills right then, but the new bumper i got has got the two vent holes at the front either side of the number plate, and the fog/indicator light holes look bigger, have seent hem on an S reg facelift model around Crawley with a bigger fog light but the indicator light is smaller. I will try and take mearsurements over the wekend and see if mine will fit, but it all depends on the fittings at the back of the fog/indicator lights.

just had a look here (http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/facelift.htm),and the lights appear to be the same,appear being the right word,reckon baz might just have an idea here.... ???
over to you baz.... ;)

fitzy,how did you do with the headlight washers,did you manage to get facelift ones,or are you going to stick with the pre facelift ones ?

Craig i haven't got the headlight washers and the new bumper doesn't have the cut outs for them either so i won't be fitting them.

Fitzy,

the light units (wether they are the large indicator without foglight as on the Ghia/executive models or the foglight/indicator unit combined) are exactly the same size and will fit into either bumper (Facelift with the vent holes or prefacelift without)

You should not have a problem there unless you are trying to fit the fog/indicator unit to a car which didn't have fog lights previously. In which case you need a new switch, and relay and possibly a bit of wiring as well

Photos would be good if you are having problems

The facelift fog lights are not tinted as such. What it is is they have a darker band behind the glass similar to the facelift headklights. On the headlights, the backed the reflector behind the glass and it is the same with the later foglights, they just have a blackish band instead of chrome which makes them look darker inside.

I think they actually changed the colour of the plastic as well from light grey on the early models to black on the later ones

Just to add something else... with a new bumper you will no longer get the cut outs for the pop-up washers. There was a TSB issued about this. It contained the dimensions for the Ford 'technicians' to cut them out where required.

I think I have the templates somewhere for the washer jet cutouts. If anyone needs them, I'll have a look

They were on that disc you cant use or buy baz, not that I have seen it, or know what I am talking about, nothing new there then.

the facedlift bumper i am getting does not have the cut outs for the washers,but having not been able to source a second hand set for the facelift (and i would not bother asking the price new :o),so i will be doing away with mine.................

just have to wash the car a little more. ;) ;)

Just to confirm, spotlight/indicator units are interchangeable, I have swapped before! :D
