UB,

what year is your Scorpio? Mine is a 1998 but it is an S reg and as such has to have a "type approved" towbar (New law from Aug 1st 1998!!) I have had a few towbars in the past but none type approved so not legal on my car for towing with. I can get one but they are mega bucks compared with pre Aug 1998 ones apparently...

hiya, Barry here. I bought a second hand towbar, complete, for £40 to fit my 1997 2.3 Ultima. I cleaned it and painted it with Hammerite until it was 'gleaming'.

When I came to fit it, the bracket at the diff' end was the wrong shape. The towbar came off a 1995 2.0ltr.

I would love to swap it for a 2.3 version, or obtain the correct bit of bracket needed......... If that ain't possible, I have a nice conditioned, never been raced or rallied, 1995, 2.0ltr scorpio tow bar that I know the complete history of. Any offers???
