anybody happen to breaking a 2.3 or know of one in a scrappy with the resonator still attached,if so i would really like to get a replacement for mine...........

well i dont know whats wrong with it,but i can tell you the symptoms.........

in hot weather with the air con running,it makes a high pitched squealing sound,i know it's the resonator because if you move it about it stops making the noise,have taken it off to look at,but to tell you the truth,dont think you can do too much with it,looks like it's all sealed up,and also the plastic lug that holds it in place has broken off,and i dont think this is helping,have not looked at a price for a new one,and i'm pretty sure it's a 2.3 thing,other models dont look like they have one (well the same anyway).....
might be a trip to mr and mrs ford i'm thinking :-/

how strange! someone on the mailing list has the same problem with the noise. he thinks his has a hole in it. :-/

sorry to "bump" this back to the top again,but i am still looking for one if anybody stumbles across a 2.3 breaking anywhere.. :( :( :(
