Hi
Has anyone got a complete ford reversing sensor kit?
Colour of car is black.

Wayne,

these are quite rare to come across as a complete set and are only usually found on a scrap car. I got some off a breaker a few years ago and fitted them to my old S reg Cossie. The latest one I have had them already on. I have the full ford installation diagrams for the scorpio factory/dealer set if you want me to send it to you (PDF format) and you can see what is involved.

The last set I had, I fitted to Geoff W's car last year. There was also a set that went on EBay at the begining of last year for about £35.00, brand new in a box.

I think that the same system was fitted tothe early Galay models because the sensors look to be the same

By the way, new ones come unpainted and you just have to spray up the caps to suit

Thanks for the info on the reversing sensors.

Trevor from Ford Parts UK tells me that they are available at £242 inc so I'll possibly purchase some from there but it would be a great help if you could send me the installation diagrams so I can see what is involved.

Wayne. If it's not a daft question what is so special about 'original equipment' sensors apart from a vastly inflated price!!, when the aftermarket ones appear to be identical in terms of the sensors,fitting etc.?. Mine cost about £50 , are absolutely spot on for accuracy,and provide a tone as well as a precise distance .
