Title: Re: Reversing Sensor System Post by Simmo on Sep 4th, 2006, 8:33pm Matt. Mine is very similar to the other unit shown. It was simple to fit,to my estate, is accurate to the mm and has worked faultlessly for a couple of years or more. My 'display' sits on top of the rearview mirror and has sound as well as the visual display with the precise distance shown. Essentially the four sensors feed into a control box, fitted in the boot, and a single wire feeds the display. The lead is small enough to simply tuck under the headlining trim and takes only minutes to run the length of the car back to the control box. A cutter is usually supplied to create the exact size hole for the four sensors. |

Title: Re: Reversing Sensor System Post by Simmo on Sep 5th, 2006, 7:37am Matt, can I suggest that you fix the sensors on with masking tape or blue-tack before you drill the holes. That way you can adjust the position, particularly, the 'outer' two so that they cover the corners fully. A string line stretched across the width of the bumper and secured with tape also makes sure the sensors are all level. Good luck, Mike. |
