Or the centre one if you prefer and for a saloon.

I'm looking for one to modify (LED's), so I don't want to pay too much for it. It needs to be complete with its fixings, wire and plug, plus if possible a short cut off bit of the loom and socket which it mates with [1].

I have not yet worked out whether mine has a socket already fitted for one or not.

Harry,

the wiring for your third brake light should be tucked away under the left hand speaker and is usually taped up and wrapped in foam.

As for the unit, I got one off a Rover 75 and had the two fittings glued to the top part of the screen by Autoglass. It was a ready made LED one. I just replaced the parcel shelf cover off an earlier car without the light. I find it keeps the back of the car looking clutter free!

theres plenty of aftermarket led ones going on ebay. the wiring for it is there, quite well hidden as i found out...

Are we saying under the left speaker, as in looking in from the boot facing towards the front of the car (UK near side) ?

na, other side, as in off side...mine were tucked up behind the pillar cover...

if you get an original brakelight, you can replace the bulbs with led ones sold on ebay, they're much cheaper than halfords etc, standard fitment 12v 5w wedge 501 bulbs...

I already have the LED's laid on for the job.
