Title: Cossie engine
Post by cossieguy on Apr 17th, 2007, 11:55am
Hi, still looking for an engine :( Mine is getting worse by the week and don't think it will hold out much longer. Have had to start looking for other cars and might have to part company with the cossie if I can't find an engine. Can't collect so would have to arrange couriers etc. Can anyone help?

If not I will have a gorgeous cossie ultima to break/ sell whole, brand new front brakes and windscreen.Facelift lights front and rear, facelift grill. Aubergine on a 96/N. 85,000 miles full service history runs fine at moment but nasty noise coming from head. Have 3 keys including red one, 1 virtually new remote. £300 of new speakers including focal components. Parking sensors fitted, people on here who've seen it will testify to its great condition, believe me its well/obsessively looked after. Also have a stack of spares (No engine though!!!)

However it's a family car and if I can't get an engine its got to go :'(

Guy.

Cheers Dave, had seen it but as said, it was a case of getting there, getting the time off work, having the knowledge to remove it and then getting it home. All beyond me i'm afraid. Maybe i'm lazy but could do with one that's allready been removed that I can get a courier to pick up and deliver to my garage!
Guy.

hi there

i'd buy a copy of 'Fast Ford' mag. have a look in it to see which 'proper' tuning companies are near you. take it down to them and see what they think.

look what one garage said about tintin's 24v!

no point writing it off until you're sure what's wrong with it.

:'( Didn't know it had new chains, might have had it myself - you never know  ;)

Cue a mass of people wanting a 24v engine!

Guy,

it may be worth looking in autotrader, on the net etc for Scorpios that have failed their MOT's on something like rust or maybe had an accident, then look at getting an engine that way.

You could probably even make some dosh back by selling any usable car parts.

Its a thought  :)
