Hi all, does anyone by any chance have a auto dimming rear view mirror floating around they could sell me, only mine died last night and bled every where

You can always do the Snoopy trick and still use it.
I think oyu will find that MOST of the mirrors in scorpios are getting long in the tooth and a replacement 2nd hand may well after a short time do the same thing.

I beleive there are NEW replacements about but I never got athe details from anyone. the cheapest was a firm in the USA but the cost involved in getting it over here made it prohibitive.

Guys, once again - I posted the email of Donnelly customer services up more than once but nobody seemed bothered. Some of their mirrors came with a lifetime guarantee, there's people over on the Jag forums with 12 year old cars (late 1994 onwards) who've been able to get new mirrors FOC under the lifetime guarantee...normally all they ask is that you send the old mirror back to them.

The mirrors on the Jag are similar to on the Scorpio, just styled a bit different. On the other hand, a mate of mine who has a Mk2 Mondeo says either Mondeo or Beemer 3 series mirrors will fit too.

I don't know for certain if you'll have any luck but it's worth dropping them an email to find out :).

It's brand new & is exactly the same with the same fitting. It's got six wires, whereas the Scorp has three, but the black, grey & white wires are there...so maybe you could change the multiplugs over ;)

Not sure whether it's identical to the Scorpio one but if it's the earlier type like I have it's great bacause it has a slider on the bottom edge so you can alter the intensity of the dip :)

Better than £120 but not as cheap as free ;D
