Hi All,
Does anyone have a "working" one of these please, can't afford a new rack atm so trying to get old repaired in the mean time but can't get one of these. its off a 98 ultima cossy near side.

not as far as i can tell, only as a complete rack which is as expensive as a exchange rack :( which i can't afford atm bad month to many hospital visits.

looks like the inner ball joint to me you can buy them from ford under £20

solarpanel: FORDS For £20 great give me the number of your ford dealer please be getting from them then as mine think i got 3 heads when i ask them about it. even with finis code !!!!

robrs2 : you got pm m8..

had it bodged for now !!!!! till i can get a replacement anyone got a broken rack ??

busseys in norwich. parts dept tel number 01603 424444 ask for the inner ball joint for the rack

ok i just spoke to a bloke called David in Busseys and as i thought they are a special order (inner spindle knuckle) and are £42.31 each and would have to ordered and paid for in person so they can order one in.

good thing is, i can now go an play havoc with my local ford dealer :D .. an save my pennies to buy one :)

ford must have put the price up cos i didnt pay that did you get fin number

You do know thats half the price of a replacement rack though?
Seems false economy to me compared with the price of a complete new rack, you may well need the other side next month..

Highlander: i quite agree with you about false economy BUT i am only just able to keep my cossy on the road as i can't work now (disabled) it just (last monday) cost £130.00 to get thro MOT so having to really scrape to buy just the arm an lucky got a fitter who is doing it for nothing...
