Title: Re: facelift parts wanted Post by Highlander on Apr 26th, 2008, 1:51pm I think the prefacelift rear lights look great tinted too, possibly even better than the facelift ones, especially on a darker car like Kev's See the bottom of this page http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/customs.htm |

Title: Re: facelift parts wanted Post by TiberiuS on Apr 26th, 2008, 8:24pm Staff, I think the grille and rear lamp finisher on mine was plastichrome, mine had gone quite hazy and pitted in places by the time I bought the car, hadn't weathered like proper stainless should have. Plastic or stainless, it should paint up fine with the right primer, stainless can be keyed and painted no problem. If (when) I pick up another I'd go for another prefacelift, I was never really as keen on the tinted headlamps and dechromed look, it worked ok on moondust silver but took something away from the darkest colours IMO :) Tint the rear clusters slightly and keep all the chrome if it was me ;D Regards, Bruce. |
