Anybody breaking a 12valve?

Ebay probably your best bet - head sets are cheap and plentiful at least :)

Rads fo rthe 12v are also readily available , the same as fits the MK 3 Granada fits perfectly ... That is what I put in mine... quite cheap as well.....

The engineers I bought my last 12v head set from thought it was very expensive,from memory I think it was about £80,but as pinto states,they are plentiful,and can be obtained from any factor or automotive engineer.If your tappets are noisy,it's as well to replace them whilst the heads are off,they are about £10 each via the trade,you can only get them part way out with the heads on.There is a used 12v rad here off a breaker if you have trouble.

I did a quick check on ebay and maybe it was the search but I could find head sets for anything but the 12 valve.

Reassuring news about the rad Dave, will check around in the morning, whereabouts are you GOZZ?

I've got a good rad from a 2.3, not sure if there the same, though.

Sadly the the 12 valve seems to be a one off. Dave tells me that the rad of a 2.9 mk3 will fit however I have not been able to find anyone with one at the moment.

Folks for the record, it looks like the supply of Scorpios or at least 12valves in scrap yards is starting to dry up or at least up here in Yorkshire.

One person told me that it is partly down to scrap metal values and speed of cubing cars these days.

You'll probably see more Beemers on the way to Hull Geoff, there's loads of em on the roads, not like Scorps.... 8)

As Beemers go it is absolutely bootiful... however the 12 valve rad has a certain charm all of its own ;D
