does anyone know how much a new r18 relay switch (heated windscreen)cost?or has anyone got a working one for sale.i miss the heated windscreen function of the car.it has never worked since i bought the car,inside switch works and fuses seem ok so i thought it might be the relay away.

If it's the black one it's the same as the r21 (ignition lock)just swap em over and see if it makes any difference

Unfortunately the problem of the heated windscreen, er, not heating, is quite often down to a failure of the heating elements within the screen - only option is to have the screen replaced.

When my heated screen didnt work it was the relay, sorry cant remember how much it was , but not crasy price, otherwise i wouldnt have bought it ;D

Did you test for power at the screen connections first ?

Switch it on with the ignition and put a test lamp or meter between the screen terminals in the corners of the screen under the bonnet,and earth.
Listen to the relay first to hear it click,if it doesn't it may be faulty or not recieving power.
