Title: Re: VSS Required Post by Highlander on Jun 5th, 2009, 2:36pm Hi, the sensor itself is the same throughout the range, its only the number of teeth on the drive pinion internally which differs |

Got myself a new one from Ford. There might be some negligible difference though, ford has some for the scorp ending with DA and some CA in the technical number. Ford counter suggested a different number for manual transmission if I recall correctly. On the other hand that would not be the first time Ford would use double finis listings. EDIT: checked on ford-expert.com (excellent site btw.) All automatics use the same sensor, 1021991 (95GB-9E731-DA) as Highlander says. Manuals use 1021992 (95GB-9E731-CA) from 15.04.96 on, 7217009 (90BB-9E731-AC) before that. How the MT version is different, I have no clue. Anyway, the 1021991 is a nice and cheap piece of plastic, 99 euros here, slightly less (was it around £80 with vat from FPUK). Would have gotten a used one from germany, but they wanted 30 euros for shipping 100 grams... making it a total of 70 euros. |

Oops. It's ford-xpert.com, but it has been offline for a few days now. It's an online version of Microcat, I would not be surprised if it has been shut down either. |
