My Ford Scorpio Diesel Automatic 2.5TDA Ghia (June 1998) broke down recently.
It appeared that the automatic gear was over heated and burned down.
So I had it brought back to the gear ioverhaul specilaist who once before did a jiob like this on it.
Overhauling the gear was cpompleted.
Now it apperas that the cause for the ioverheating was a not functioning pressure sensor part of the PSM cirrcuitry was not functioning.Its a black sensor (pressure regulator) with four wires mounted halfway the gearbox on the righthand side above the carterpan.
They requested a new part at Ford but got the answer it was out off stock and will not be produced anymore
Can some please advise me how to solve this

Diesel autos were only produced for a VERY short time so there are not many about, especially now, I've only ever seen one being broken but you may be lucky, I'll keep an eye out ;)
