does anyone know if i can still buy new crown wheel and pinion for a 7.5'' diff?
tried tc harrisons with no joy

you can only buy the 3.6 the 3.9 4.09 & 4.27 have all gone.

Does it need to be a new one?

Kamdiffs make them for motorsport and will make you any ratio but VERY expensive

i,m after a 4.09 second hand would be fine if i could find one!
i would be willing to pay 250 pounds for one

Hi Sam,

the 4.09 diff was fitted to the 2.0 8v

You would probably be cheaper looking for a scrap car rather than looking for a cheap diff but they are pretty thin on the ground.

The 2.0 16v is the more common one but they have the 4.27 diff

there was a company that bought all the old diffs & cwp from ford, they advertised in a magazine, i will have a look for the number for you.

i have a couple of those its the 4.09 that i can not find ,as you say i think i'll have to buy a whole car ,thing is i missed one one ebay for 233 pounds just before xmas!! hopefully one will come up soon.
