Title: 95GB-12A650-HE / EACH Post by mattias77 on Feb 3rd, 2011, 9:22pm I’ve struggled long now with my –95 cossie. When purchased over 4 years ago it was running rough with bad idle and all ordinary symptoms of the ordinary faults with the intake etc. All are fixed and much has improved but the right spirit of the cossie isn’t there. I’ve also a late production –98 which is the family transporter and has run like a dream and it has never disappointed me. As an comparison the –95 is a sluggish and powerless although it isn’t all that dead and boring as an ordinary 2.9 12V. Why is quite obvious but the cause I haven’t nailed yet but I’ve tried and fixed and ruled out most as I believe it. This includes leak down testing, vac and intake fixes, exhaust, oxygen sensors, coils, plugs, maf, egr, wire harness remake etc. You name it! The thing now as I figure is the computer. I haven’t scoped the computer but it seems from cods and the actual flow pattern of the injectors inside the runners that the Bank 2 is not regulating fuel as it should. And this has been for a long time as I figure before I purchased it. As a hint there has been misses from the no 5 cyl occasionally but as wiring was fixed and a wire insulation fail on no 5 cyl injector was corrected I hoped that it was all solved but not. The bank is still making trouble throwing codes and occasionally running open loop. So now I believe the computer has taken permanently damage after years of use with a bad injector wire harness. So please if someone has an good well known(fixed/repaired/refurbished) 95GB-12A650-HE / EACH over please PM. My location is Sweden so shipping is required. Also hints of enthusiasts/dealers that should be able to examine mine if I send it to them for a fair charge… Best Regards, Mattias |
