I ask for a simple thing... just 4 x 225/50/16 tyres .
I ask for Michelin..Continental..Uniroyal..Goodyear..I'm not picky..ahem
Just no Linglongs or Golden Rose..Evergreens etc
I equally just ask for brand new or barely worn...
I mean you can see I'm basically asking for very little indeed.
I have the saddest sight..tearjerkingly poignant it is..4 of the most melacholy chrome wheels in Manchester..sitting there...all alone..unwanted..bereft of care or appreciation...only in need of a set of tyres.
Sniff...see...I'm ...welling....up...again...sob

you could just stick the chrome wheels in the back of that shiny black estate and drive to the nearest garage and have the tyres taken off the boring silver 12 spokes and slipped over the new chrome ones

Now, I could do that Matt...and... it had occurred to me..but I was going to be cunningly clever and use the boring silver ones in the Winter and super shiny chrome for sunny Summer use only in an effort to actually retain the chrome finish on the rim. Not only that..but I looked at my silver wheel rear tyres...and I found the date code..yes, they are the original tyres as supplied when the car was new!
Years of wear left in'em...
