Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 11th, 2011, 10:25am Matt, or Stuart any chance of the Cosworth driveshaft flanges and circlips off broken ones, either one pair or pref 2 pairs. I'll need them for my alternate ratio choice diffs, cos 2.3 and 2.0 flanges are different ;) Cheers Dave |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Matt on Apr 11th, 2011, 10:41am I should have a spare pair, ill double check and pop them in the box of auto bits |

Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by gozz on Apr 11th, 2011, 9:36pm I'll need them for my alternate ratio choice diffs, cos 2.3 and 2.0 flanges are different ;) Cheers Dave[/quote] 12v has bigger flanges as well, and so,I think, does the diesel. GOZZ. |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 12th, 2011, 8:44am Cheers Matt, Gozz, I'm not sure if the 12V or Diesel ones are the same as Cossie Estate, them shafts are monsters LOL.......... I don't have any to compare but can anyone confirm ?? Thanks guys Dave |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Highlander on Apr 12th, 2011, 10:34am Yep the diesel and the V6 ones are the same :) What diff do you using now Dave? not the 2.3? |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 13th, 2011, 8:46am Hi Stuart, At the mo I've only got a Cossie one with standard V6 4X4 front 3.6's..........but a mate down south has got me a 3.9 front diff, so I need to get a 2.3 Scorpio one to match it, plus a pair of large flanges, to use for stage events. And for Autotests etc, in 2WD mode I need to get a 4.27 2.0 one and another pair of flanges........ Should be able to steer round the bollards with the throttle then ;) Also looking for a GRANADA Cossie rear to nick the LSD out of to go in the 3.9 ;) Idea is it'll be fitted with 3.9's most of the time (1100kg) lol, then when I switch to 2WD for 2WD events, I'll swap the rear for a 4.2 which I'll weld up ;) Cheers Dave |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Highlander on Apr 13th, 2011, 10:37am I have a 3.91 (from Scorpiomans estate) but not a spare 4.27 at the moment |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 15th, 2011, 9:03am Okay Stuart, Put me down for the 3.91 one, that means I only need to get a 4.27 now ;) Cheers Dave PS We are going away for a week or so this weekend, but when I get back I'll be in touch and see if we can get together to swap all these bits LOL ;) |

Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by howiedintheplace on Apr 18th, 2011, 1:29am Oh nuts Matt I had one in the shed that you could have took home if you wanted ::) |
Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Matt on Apr 18th, 2011, 12:04pm Tipical ::) lol Got a bit of an update on this anyway, there is a bit of play in the diff but after a good look on sat it apears ive got some play in the driveshafts/cv joints too, so looks as if ill be upgrading the rear subframe to the later spec one sooner then planned, But on the plus side while i was under there i had a good hunt round for rust, and apart from a rusty evap thingy bracket theres none at all!! so with that knowledge ill be cleaning and painting the under side body color lol |

Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 22nd, 2011, 8:20am LOL, should have wrote PTO underneath just in case ;) Good news, I'm picking up a 4.27 diff tommorrow, thanks Lee ;) So if Stuarts got a 3.9 for me in my "stores" at his place, that means I only need to find a GRANADA Cosworth one now, to nick the LSD VC out of for the 3.9 ;) I'm just gonna weld up the 4.27 as it will only be used in 2wd mode on Autotests, so the Puma should steer round the bollards on the throttle LOL ;) Keep um eyes peeled guys ;) Cheers Dave |

Title: Re: 24v Diff Post by Dave2302 on Apr 23rd, 2011, 10:30am Aww cheers Lee, Yeah didn't think of that ;) Just gutted cos it went so cheap, I was going to slap a bid on a bit higher than that to secure it ;) Still Mel said it was funny watching me cursing the computer whilst frantically trying to get it to log back on LOLOLOL................ It was reminiscent of the "Old Days" when all I had was AOL dial up in Scotland, that used to cut out at the most inconvenient times, got rid of it and got BT Broadband, which has been perfect, but Mels parents don't have internet, so while down here I've been logging on using BT Fon, even went to the trouble of setting it all up just before we came away ;) I'm quite disgusted with it really, I'd understand it being bad up where I live, but this is Dartford, Kent for gods sake............I'd have thought a multi billon pound, Satellite space age comms outfit like BT could have got a measly internet connection right just outside London :( LOLOLOL Rant over............ Anyway keep yer eyes peeled again guys, GRANADA Cosworth diff still needed ;) Cheers Dave |
