Has anyone got a fault reading device or lead with software? Whatever I need to read some codes. Perhaps you could direct me toward such a device from a supplier? Thanks

most motor-factors will have code readers in stock.

starting from around £40.00

the better ones will give you a code no and description of fault where as the cheaper ones will give just a code.

info on all codes are posted on this site somewhere but at mo I cant find link..

There are various ones Here (http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Galactic-Warehouse/Car-Diagnostics-/_i.html?_fsub=1392579014&_sid=62951714&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322) including the one Rodders uses. I have used this supplier,he's local to me, very good service.

You'll see he also does reversing sensors which are also great value. ;)

Are any of these devices able to read emissions and or condition of cats? (apologies if that is a daft question)

Not that I am aware of and they don't do ABS either. :(
