Title: Abs module
Post by Glyn on Dec 22nd, 2012, 11:40pm
Has anyone got an ABS module that works that they are willing to part with? It is the type without the traction control for a 96 ultima 2.9 12v. Thanks.

Hi Glyn

Sorry.   Very remiss of me, I haven't looked yet!   Looked Five minutes ago, and you can see the pics below, maybe if you're not sure someone on the site will let you know what it's off.   I was assured it was OK when I got it a wee while ago along with some other stuff.   If it's OK it's yours for my postage cost and a wee donation to the site always assuming it'll do the trick.

Sorry but Photobucket are still playing -up and I can only do links.

Thanks to Tomp and Adam, I get my pictures back on without flowing freely about with links.

Peter :D

Hi Peter, in response to your question elsewhere as to whether this is non-TC I think it probably is.
If you look at the pictures below you should be able to tell. The non TC controller has fewer coils for the ports & 1 of the securing screws is inboard.

I'm cooking a large Hot Spicy Chilli at the moment, and it's raining a wee-bitty to say the least!   I'll check in the morning, it's still on top of the mower!  ;)

Bear in mind he's in Outer Jockland, his lawn may slope at 45 degrees making mower ABS even more necessary  8)

First of all a Happy Christmas to you all.
Now thanks to you all for your input and help as always. I think it is the same but I note from the pictures that the motor on Dave's has a different number to the module in Tompion's picture, was the same motor used on both types?
I would have thought up there Peter would need traction control on his mower as well as ABS- particularly as it is raining so much!
PM sent Peter

The motor and module numbers are always different, hence Tompion's post relating to the module number. There is little doubt that the unit PJ has is the correct one,but if you test your pump operation with a 12 volt supply and it's OK you may only need the module anyway thus saving postage weight.
