Title: 95-V6 RAD
Post by ro284 on Dec 20th, 2013, 10:34am
Anyone got one for sale Please, i have tried to repair many times, while Milliput is very good, it is difficult to get it where i want it and where it needs to be, Also i think the Rad on the car has at some time tried to shed its plastic ends! possibly when the engine blew!! The car drives lovely after rewiring and re-building. I think the Rad is more important than the new tyres it needs first, Thanks Bob

I have a brand new 2.3 rad still in the box which I bought as a spare - don't know if this can be used with the 2.9 12v but a lot of owners have used this rad with the 2.9 24v.

Think I also have a used rad from a Sierra 2.9 in 'the Shed' - don't know if that would work ???

Thanks Mike, i am not sure what will fit what and can't remember what my 24v looked like! or my 2-3! ideally would prefer the right one but may not have a choice! i will have a look at some pictures, see if one of them may fit, and get back to you, Bob

As far as I know the 12v has the temp sender in the rad whereas the 24v & 16v don’t, so you'd have to locate the sensor elswhere.

hi guys sorry for not getting back, Had other problems with the car, one of the front brake pads flew out, leaving the metal plate in the caliper, >:( i only had one set of rear pads (with indicator leads), So waiting for some new pads to fit, then i can get back to where i started! ??? Happy Christmas, Bob

Didn't you convert to Kenlowe Bob ,if so did you render the rad temp sender redundant ? If Mikes is an auto rad you may well score there.
Don't forget the aircon cooling though !!

Hi Gozz, yes have converted to a Kenlowe controller for existing fans, So the Fan switch position not a problem, and could be wired to any position, i was thinking about rad fixing brackets mainly, i guess what ever Rad the size must be pretty much the same! and my only concern would be the hose positions/sizes, but that also not a major thing, Unfortunately brakes are next priority to get done, Ta Bob
