Title: Re: LOWER SUSPENSION ARMS Post by GrahamT on Jan 6th, 2015, 1:25am Hi, the QH ones I ordered from Germany yonks ago dont seem to be available any more. I guess because QH went bust but I'd have thought there'd be some stock somewhere! Annoyingly, I had to buy 2 new ones early this year as the ball joint on one arm failed alarmingly and the other side was showing signs of play. I put it down the to dreadful state of the roads in Hereford last year. Anyway, I ordered from www.autopm24.eu last time, part number LLC5010 and LCC5011 but the casting is very poor quality compared to QH ones. They seem to be ok at the moment but I guess time will tell! http://autopm24.eu/?action=catalog_part_info_view&code=LCC5011&id_brand=0&item_code=AKS_LCC5011&id_provider=39716&return=code%3DLCC5011%26action%3Dcatalog_price_view I also found these whilst snooping around... https://www.rexbo.eu/qh/track-control-arm-qsj2102s?c=100571 Good luck! |

Title: Re: LOWER SUSPENSION ARMS Post by PJDavis on Jan 6th, 2015, 10:56am Graham Thank you very much for this info. Believe it or not I shall have to replace my Off-Side wishbone this coming year. I replaced both of my wishbones in 2012 just before the MOT in August, with QH ones from Germany. I think my total cost including postage to Highlands was about £165. This August passed, my Scorp was given an advisory on the Off-Side ball-joint, in fact the tester, (a mate) let me feel the slight play! Our roads up here are pretty good, a lot less traffic, and hardly any 'pot-holes' so no excuses. So, those Akusan ones can't be any worse really than the QH ones in my book. In your opinion was the 'ball-joint' good enough for the job? Was the postage ok, and dealing with the seller easy? Thanks Peter |

Title: Re: LOWER SUSPENSION ARMS Post by GrahamT on Jan 7th, 2015, 2:20am Its possible the QH ones from Germany were a bad batch then? The ones I bought from Latvia were just as easy to buy as the German ones. Good English, answered my queries quickly and arrived within a week. Postage was 11 euros. The ball joints seem ok. The castings were poor and the rear pin was loose. I drilled out the locking pin, tightened them up and re fitted new locking pins. As I said, they seem ok at the moment. Just have to see how it goes. What is the price of the Ford ones these days? |

This (http://www.optimal-germany.com/en) is what comes up via Google. Looks good. ;) If you download the catalogue on Page 305 it shows the parts. Reference is G6-1045 Ref 7372345 (FOS) and G6-1046 Ref 7372346 (FNS) :) Looks like a 'bite their hand off job'! ;) |
