Same Scorpio different hose :-/.

This time it is the short hose that comes out from the bottom of the water pump(?) and is next to the ac pump, and lies directly above the main hose from the block to the rad. I do hope that this makes sense and that somebody on here has just that item waiting for me :-*

I would check the cap on the expansion tank is not stuck shut if you have blown two hoses.

How do I do that? Push the inside up? Will I damage anything if I do/

Certainly do. Thank you Simmo. My Scorp is in the RAC Pound in Roche, St. Austell, till they deliver her back here on Friday. I am driving a Safira 7 seater thingy that they lent me so I can't get at my Scorp till after Fri.

And I can't get to fix my other Scorp because of the RAIN.

If it's the short fat 1 with a 90degree turn in it (comes from bottom of t'stat) then it might be better to buy new. Mine went a couple of years ago. A bit of a pain to get to but only cost about £20

Hi Mike, if you take the cap off and turn it over, you can use the back end of a pencil to lift it off its seat. No damage should happen. I live in Newquay, so not to far from your car ;D.

Ta folks :).

I won't be able to positively identify which hose it is till I get it off. Looking in "Coolant leaks", I am not sure that No 24 is the correct hose.

Thanks for the tip. amgafan2003. I will certainly give it a go. My friendly garage may have a Pressure Testing kit. I've been in Truro for a couple of days, back home now, and where I was I had no Internet access, bit of a pain, but never mind.
