Waaaa!

Has anybody got a Coolant Expansion Tank (bottle) to fit to my 24 valve Cosworth Ultima Estate? 1997 Ultima.

The present one has split where it holds the neck of the Screen washer bottle.

Is it the same as a 2.3? If so I can have one away to you the morra and all it will cost is a decent donation to the site! It's 10.45pm just now. Just the bottle, I've no cap.

I have a bit of a dilemma as I don't know whether the 2.3 bottle is the same as th 24 valve Cossie or not. The one on ebay looks right but I would rather donate to the Site? :-/.

Anybody out there know if PGDavies' is ok for for me??

Hi Mike, I think the cosworth has one more return pipe than the 2.3 on it.
Just checked mine, and it has two air bleed lines. You would have to put and tee or something in the line, not too bad to get around.

I have now made my mind up ::), and have ordered the Bottle that you pointed out for me on eBay.

Can't wait to fit it and try our my new "City Radiators, Bilston", Radiator :D. Any excuse to drive this beauty of a car.

What an idiot I am. :-[ :-[ :-[

The bottle arrived just now and I happily went out to fit it only to discover that it is the wrong bottle as it has one overflow outlet and one inlet return pipe. My car has 2 return pipes and an overflow outlet pipe. I would happily kick myself but I can't get me leg up that high......Mmmph!

So: Has somebody on here got the right bottle to fit my Cossie and can I please buy it off you??

Mike. There is one Here (http://www.spikiesscorpios.co.uk/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=20&Itemid=1) BUT as Gerald has suggested a mod for a 2.3 tank might that not be worth exploring??

You can just cap/blank off the return pipe that goes from the top of the rad to the top of the tank - it'll run quite hapilly without it.
