Title: Sunroof probs. Post by snowdrop on Aug 15th, 2018, 1:02pm Hello all, i have a problem with my sunroof. When i bought my Scorp i was told the roof does not work on the switch which was correct. On doing the global opening and closing i noticed the roof moved just a tad in both directions so i thought it's not the motor! Seems that the roof has not been used for some time so managed to move it on the switch a bit at a time but now the ruddy nylon cog has been stripped, is there a supply of said cogs? Also is there one of the handles available so i can work the roof to loosen it a bit? Sorry it's long and drawn out, hoping for answers please. |

Title: Re: Sunroof probs. Post by a900one on Aug 15th, 2018, 6:12pm Hi snowdrop the sunroof frame rusts and expands stopping it from moving. Its best to get a handle to open it and then free it up, I went around the edge with a rubber hammer ta get the rust to fall out. cover seats first. Then when free replace the motor, plastic wheels are on ebay but may need some work to fit. |
