Does anyone have a spare key for the center caps on the 12 spoke alloys?

They lost mine when it got an mot.

Aren't they all slightly different on the pin positions? or rather than all different random within limits such that the chances a spare that someone has is unlikely to fit?

Of course I could be wrong!

If they are different It would be relatively easy to make one, by masking over the head in the cap, then inserting 3 metal pins in the appropriate places, and then using some fast setting epoxy cast around the pins, and then when set remove and bond to a handle.

They're coded between the pins, don't know how many variations. The 2 different ones I have both fit my wheels albeit one needs a bit of push.

I could send a spare on the off chance it fits.

Someone said Renualt ones fit but I've not tried, these look similar:

If the thread size is the same (and I'd say there was a good chance) then the new set screws would be easy to fit to the centre caps being just held from falling out by a simple circlip on the inside, removed and refitted mine when refurbishing the centre caps.

Hello there are different ones, sounds like you have the ability to make one up this is probably the best way to go.
The bolts can be replaced but watch the old bi metallic corrosion as the nitwits have put a fine thread in the alloy wheels they do tend to seize if not copper greased or left a long time before undoing.

Thanks for all the info.

I thought they were all the same as the key I was using on my 16V was the one that came with my 24v wheels.

I am going to try the Renault one. The one from Germany looks closer but I am taking the car to Norway on the 30th and it wont arrive in time.

The Renault ones came today and the tread size of the screws was the same, so I used these as my old screws are a bit worn. The Renault key also fitted my old screws
