Very hard to find now you may have to have yours repaired or the mod to the wrong one, 12valve I think.   Look at this    http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=admin;action=display;num=1534167917

I have just changed the water pump on my 24v. I had a used one in my stash which I bought from another member about 15 years ago and up to now is working perfectly.

Here are some numbers from the pump I took off:

95TM-8505-AA

FNO 7567

17-421-1

I contacted SP water pumps in Warrington and spoke to a very helpful guy called John who said he could definitely rebuild my non working pump. He couldn't give me an exact cost but estimated between £95.00 and £160.00. Expensive I suppose but cheaper than a new one if one could be sourced. I do intend to get this pump refurbished soon.

SP water pumps 01925 850082

Mike/ Tony.
I have just spoken to Jackie at SP and she is going to do some before and after pictures of any Scorpio pumps which she gets in. I have given her my Email so that she can send them to me.
Once that happens I'll create a post on here so that the info we have is here for all time. Hopefully this will solve the age old problem of members trying to get the correct one.

Thanks for your help, looks like we might have to go down the 12v route-dubious but there's just none out there.

Anyone know any of the banger boys who may have one kicking around "we help to keep your cars on the road" must be a cossie ex racing somewhere. Or better still any members have a spare or old one from "when I had my scorpio", help needed here.

Makes a circle dunnit?
I'd rather botach 12v than give him any slack.

Well, well. This is the chap who offered me £700 for mine via a message from his wife. I also tried to get a driver's door frame surround off him before that but he couldn't be bothered to answer. I don't think he has any qualms about breaking good ones if he can buy them for the right price.
The rebuild route sounds like a good option because then you would be getting the right spec pump and in as-new working order.

Hi Roy, they never got that far, I just had a one line e-mail saying would I take £700 which I never answered as it was less than half what I was asking plus I recognised the name as a bloke selling spares. Being curious I see that the tax and MoT on that reg you mentioned expired nearly three years ago, so assume bangered/broken. Glad mine has gone to a good home although only 11 days left on the MoT now. Good luck with sorting your pump.

Hello again, yes the reg I mentioned was bought off the bay whenthe splitter steve something or other was breaking every scorpio he could get his grubbys on, I had to pay £960 + post (??) to get it here. I bought it as a sub for the blue cos saloon I want to move on now as the wife didnt like it.
Turns out the chassis rails were gone and the passenger inner sill, drivers seat mount, pillaged seats and bits from it but sold on a promise of "weld that up and paint it up" yeah ;) so it can "race", put it through 1 mot but failed - tried to move on but as you know interest zero to minus one.
Could have been made good if you can weld.
Life goes on, karma rules in the end.

Stay well cheers  roy
