Aaaaargh. I was so lucky to find a low mileage, lovingly cared for 1998 Cossie Estate within reach and looking like it was new from the showroom back in September.

Now the person who lives next door but one has reversed into my beautiful Scorpio and smashed the front bumper with her tow-bar.

Anyone know of a good condition, preferably facelift front bumper in dark aubergine, by any chance?

(An old fellow did the same thing to my old Scorpio in 2008 when I'd only had that a few months ... but back then the repair place could still order a brand new unpainted bumper from Ford and the paint to spray it with.)

Where is this listed? Number will not produce a result in Ebay.

There are however others listed on there. One is in the UK

its a number from ebay and it works for me. £213 + £23 delivery. He has 7 of them./

Thanks for the links. She-who-did-the-damage has said her partner is a mechanic and 'car nut' and will 'sort it' when he gets back from Scotland on Wednesday. But as Scorpios are rare (on that How Many Left site there are only 4 Ghia-X 24v Scorpios still licensed on the road) I wanted to find the right thing to pass on as he's not likely to know much/anything about Scorpios.

Can I just check - pre-facelift bumpers do have exactly the same fittings so they'll fit on a facelift car, don't they? Basically the same as the facelift ones apart from not having the two ventilation openings.

And does one use the same bumper whether one has front fog-lights or not?

Interestingly, after finding the FINIS number (specifically for the facelift version) and searching with that, I found one link that took me to the page to buy one from a Ford main dealer in Hampshire. I wonder if they've really got one in stock ...

Can't believe this. The two previous owners kept the car pristine and looking like new for 23 years - under flour months I get the front bumper smashed where it's parked. I am really missing having a drive or garage right now.

They had one 2 years ago at a reduced price (£ 179.14 delivered) but my order was cancelled. Not certain but I think they were also listing it at full price at the time.
If you search on that site (the Hampshire one) for the non facelift you get no return so they're not just using the Ford database.
Unlike https://www.allcarpartsfast.co.uk/ which usually gives a result for any finis (it does for both bumper types) but they often can't supply.

I'd give them a call assuming you're interested at that price - it might be one they got in specially but not used back when I tried to get the cheap one.

Fairly sure you can fit either, but not tried myself. Either indicators fit (with or without the fog light section). If you have headlight washers you have to cut the holes.
