Had car 3 years 'Brill' but timing chain gone . front of engine stripped but found chains,cogs, drive cogs, chainguides and tensioners all clapped out.
although regular service and oil changes were done
found when we removed the sump the gauze filter on the end of the oil pump was completly blocked - strange.
All the bits removed we have laid out in the boot and bagged all the bolts with the appropriate bits in case anyone wishes to reassemble . We don.t think any damage to the rest of the engine has been done

The rest of the car is in good condition and would like to sell it as it stands - need the space - will not dismantle - anyone who has it must collect intact.
It's on my brothers drive so it was towed about 6 miles when it packed up. ( Lichfield - Staffordshire Area )

Every thing else is still on the car : including four good tyres ( two new on front ) c.d.player (6 c.d.). all the usual refinements you'd expect. Air con needs regassing
it's working but very low.Dark Green Met'. Standard Alloys.back wheel arches starting to go. Exhaust O.K.
M.O.T.until end Sept 07. now SWORN. 112.000 miles Still nice & Tidy Car.

Hi I don't want to put a dampener on things, but if the timing chain or belt snaps it will do damage to valves. If engine working @ the time. ie: hi reving/under load it can snap cams and even bend conrods... :-[

If the cars a nice one & you realy like it ,you mite be better of getting a engine. ;)

Hi Injector As ghia-X said - It's on my brothers drive between Lichfield & Cannock ( Burntwood ) Staffordshire.
I'm after about £350 for it - so make me an offer.
