I'm a bit miffed at only having the scorpio for under 2 months and the cylender head blew, which had happend to the person i bought it from before me.
He had it fixed and it had only done arround 200 miles since i got it untill it blew again.
I have had a quote from a self emplotyed mechanic to fix it and he reccons about £400 to £450.

As i've only had the car less than 2 months, i cant justify spending this ammount of cash on it so it might be up for grabs shortly.

What kinda price is reasonable to let it go for ? everything else works fine with the car, all electrics and bodywork is spot on.

hi there

a lot less than than the repair.....maybe £300 tops :-/

you might make more selling bits from it..... lights, fogs, remote, hbc and face panel. they're the easy bits, then it's a case of stripping it down.

AFAIK, the head is fine but i cant be 100% sure, i'm not going to spend any more money on it though as i've only had it less than 2 months, besides i've just bought a new car with 1 yr waranty now.

Deffo been put off buying private sales now its simply bnot worth the risk!

Thanks for the offer, but i'll decline as it will end up costing me an arm and a leg to have it put in.

If anyone wants it as it stands i guess £250 ? but you would need to collect it.

i'm not far from gretna green if someone near wants it.

Its got 4 months tax MOT for 4 months (i think, i'll have to check)
and like i said, everything else is spot on.

How much for your spare engine ???? if you still have it and whereabout are you, l am in London.
