SOLD - I sold the Scorp at the weekend, got £700 off a mate of a mate. Thanks to the forum and mailing list for all the help over the years - the Audi forums I'm looking at now are nowhere near as helpful.

I'm selling my Scorpio. It's an M plate 24v Ultima, with 122k on the clock. Black, with tinted windows, nice interior and soft 12-spoke 16-inch wheels. Taxed for a year, mot until April, and it's only done about 200 miles since the last mot. Bodywork is good.

Since I've had it I've done the front and rear discs and pads, put a brand new engine and gearbox wiring loom on, replaced both fuseboxes, changed the thermostat (with new hoses), fitted a new radiator, changed all the engine belts, and loads of other wee jobs.

Problems? The AC needs re-gassing, and there's a timing chain rattle on startup (which I avoid with the WOT starting technique.)

I've basically spent a load of cash on it, but don't really use it. The missus has a nice wee motor, and I spend all my time on the bike.

Anyone interested? It's in Croydon area...

Hey mate,

Not sure. It cost me just over a grand to buy 18 months ago, and I have spent about £2k on it (I just taxed it for a year this week for £180!). Almost everything I've bought was original Ford from FPUK, including engine wiring loom, wipers, thermostat and hoses, belts, discs, pads, filters, new cam cover gaskets, power steering hoses, both fuseboxes. Recent new plugs too.

It does have over 6 months MOT, and like I say it has done virtually no miles since the last test. It's running nice just now too.

I know I can't expect back out of it what I put in, but I'm reluctant to let it go for ebay money - I'd rather keep it. If I got back what I paid for it or thereabouts I'd be pleased.

Probably best if you had a look and made an offer? I can maybe post some pics later this week...

Thanks for the reply Al, at the moment it's just a tentative request, preparing for the worst at MOT, really.
Just seeing what's around and at what sort of cost & trying to widen my options

By the way mine went through the MOT only needing some new boots :)

Hey everyone, this is turning into a 'definitely for sale' one. I've bought an Audi A6 2.7 twin turbo, eek. So I need to sell the Scorp! Everything is as above, except with an extra 1,000 miles or so, and the AC is re-gassed now. Mot is now till April 2009, tax is till Nov 08.

The new loom and rad and discs are worth a few hundred quid on their own, but I know how much these cars are worth.

No reasonable offer will be refused!!!
