Im considering selling my 97 Ghia X 2300 scorpio in order to fund or obtain a 24V cossie (much as i love the 2300, i'd love to have the corners come come up quicker lol)

Finished in Cayman Blue, with a blue cloth interior and chrome rim 15" alloys with good tyres. 120ish K, recently given a full service and new platinum plugs. Theres a few of the option toys too, such as Cruise control.

Shes had a few subtle mods, such as the rear tints and a stainless 3" slash cut back box, which sets her off nicely ;)

Most importantly - notice the minty rear arches.... 8)

The car is clean, but not totally mint - the rear bumper has some paint cracking, and areas of the paint could use some work, but it more than scrubs up nicely and i feel its a nice example :)

Currently has 11 months tax and (I think) 5 months ticket (tho naturally, the tax would be sold at cost or by negotiation).

However.....

The car wont be available till the new year (as im still using it and cant be bothered to deal with a sale over the xmas period ;D) so at the moment, im asking for interest and SENSIBLE ( no shirt buttons ::) ) offers (probably best to do so by PM but thats your choice)

If anyone happened to have a Black (or that gorgeous deep metallic blue) cossie they cant afford to run then i'd be VERY interested in talking to you }{

Now i have a lovely cossie thanks to amigafan, this one is back for sale :)

Same details and condition, but with less tax (now 6 months) and 12 months ticket - located in Rye, East Sussex.

As requested - pics of the engine bay and interior. Admitted, its not as clean as it could be at the moment, but its currently still in everyday use and will be wet vac'd and valeted for the new owner :)

DVD Head unit not included in the sale - but i have a RDS7000 and 6 disk change that i'd be willing to fit for an additional £50.

Additional things i've just replaced (not mentioned above) - new mintex brake disks and pads fitted less than 200 miles ago.... and a brand new ignition barrel fitted today (old one failed in a supermarket car park a while back, and i've just been too lazy to sort it out lol )

Also, im willing to deliver the vehicle to you (within reason) for a small fee, petrol and train ticket home ;D - ask me for details if you're interested

Not until Ultima spec.

The car came with an RDS4000 tape player that had a faulty display, so its proping up a landfill somewhere :)

Must be someone interested - this really is a good base for someone looking for an honest scorp for day to day use or with a little bit of finishing, a show car in the making

Reeeeeally dont want to ebay this- would be a shame not to let it go to an enthusiast :(

Not sure how to send a PM! (Am new and useless...)

I'm actively looking for a Scorpio - Ideally I wanted a facelift high spec with leather, but frankly they are fetching a little more than I anticipated...so I may just be interested in this so at least I have one, and dip my toes into the pool! And could then save the old pennies and at some point maybe get my ideal. Could I just ask you to please confirm tax/mot situation, which keys you do/don't have, what stereo is in (I don't mind if there isn't one as long as the original fittings are there so I can just slide a Ford in - have a 6000 sitting doing nothing) and any current probs? Sorry for all the questions!!!
