Careful out there!!!! I bought a low miler..69K a while back and because it had hardly been used the Cat was broken...back box had disintergrated as it had stood full of water for ages..calipers had seized and there was rust everywhere.
Like the buyers guide states...high milers are probably a better bet as they will have been kept servicable throughout their road life. You would be REALLY lucky to find a great low miler that has no problems....I also see there is an S reg Scorp on Ebay claiming to be the last of the facelifts but on further investigation it seems to be a late Ultima with only the bonnet facelifted. Be careful what you wish for ;D

on the flip side, i sold my 2.3 that had 65k miles on it that, apart from the rear box being a bit blowy, was totally mint. not a patch of rust or even an advisory on the mot. my current one is the same, apart from VERY slight rust on the arch which you can't actually see and it's only done 80k!

I went out and looked at this car a few things..

Air con wasnt working unsure if this is the compressor.

No CD changer or bracket for it in the boot.

The stereo stalk did not work.

No history not even the cars handbook is present.

Other than that a nice solid car very tight steering and a pleasurable drive.

Pete
