Title: Ultima 2.3 for sale
Post by supatall on Jul 25th, 2009, 8:29pm
Ultima 2.3 Manual, Petrol 97/P  151K for sale.
Black metallic with camel leather interior

Location: St Ives, Cambs.  PE27

Alloys in excellent condition.  Tyres good.  Spare v good.

First reg 03/04/97
MOT  until 1/10/09
May come with tax if I can get a reasonable amount for it.

2 black keys and the red key.

I've owned it since Oct 05 and have only done 10k in it.  Lots of history since I've owned it.

Ideal car if someone is looking to take advantage of the scrappage scheme!

Last weekend trip to Cornwall and back - 700 miles -gave me 30.3mpg.

Have got too much work and a build project coming up so have no time to continue to maintain the beast.

Bodywork generally excellent.  Interior very good.  Some wear to leather bolster on drivers seat.  Rear seats as new.  Previous owner spilt oil on load bay carpet so there is a corner that has deteriorated slightly.

Rearview mirror doesn't leak!

All electrics bar air con (below) and heated screen work.  6CD multichanger and Ford stereo.  I have the code

Fitted with modified Granada Witter towbar.  It has never been used for towing and I've never got round to wiring it in.

Has some 'issues'

When fitting a battery recently, the aircon settings have become corrupted.  Aircon works after a fashion but displays not showing.  Have tried a reset but prob. requires removal of console panel and a refit

Rear wheel arches are corroding at the base.

Replaced timing chain and guides when I bought it to cure chain 'thump'.  Lasted a whole two weeks before thump restarted (guide will have failed again) but have driven it without problems ever since.

There has always been a 'thump' from rear suspension.  It always passes the MOT without comment so I've never bothered investigating.  The rear shocks still pump up under load so all seems ok.  The n/s side rear wheel bearing has been replaced.

The wheels need rebalancing as there is a wobble towards the higher speed limit!

Passenger footwell light will not stay fixed in position and occasionally dangles.

Any interest?  Please get in touch.  It would be a shame to scrap it.

Simon
