Title: 2.0 N reg ultima in petrol blue spares/repair
Post by buffio on Apr 8th, 2010, 8:18pm
1996 N reg Scorpio Ultima 2.0 16v auto in petrol blue in Fife. Black leather (as near perfect as I've seen) cruise etc etc - you know the spec! Offered for spares/repair - being realistic I think probably more spares!

Been sitting for a couple of years following a funny sound from the front wheel that started the day after it passed its last MOT - was going to investigate and fix it as it despite its 120k miles it was a great runner with 1 deep pocketed company owner and a full Ford history. However, I bought a newer Cossie with half the mileage instead :-)

Bad stuff:

Dents in passenger side wing, front and back doors, approximately the size of a ned's foot :-( I drove it for a year with them quite unashamedly as they're not horrific, but I can imagine anyone with the ability would be replacing those if keeping the car.
Rusty back arches - I've seen worse but they would need done if it was being repaired.
Crack in front windscreen at the passenger side - heated screen didn't work anyway so no great loss but again would need replaced if repairing.
Pepper pot wheels - not a fault as such but even if they were in perfect condition who'd want them!
Tyres are flat from having sat, and of course the brakes will be rust central.
Funny noise from steering - not even going to hazard a guess as to what it might be.
Can't think of anything else but should be getting some pics soon and I'll add anything more I come across.

Otherwise it had just passed an MOT the day before the noise appeared and last time I checked (December) it started on the first turn of the key. The only bits that didn't work perfectly were the heated front screen and the auto dim mirror.

I know I could get £200 weigh in and I reckon at very least £150 for the interior, not to mention various other bits, but I still don't have the heart to break it myself so I reckon £300 is good value for someone wanting to pick off anything they want and still make most of their money back off the shell.

Cheek!! although true ;D too much for me.

The days of getting £100 plus for interiors are long gone though, I picked up my last two complete facelift interiors for less than £50 each.

Plenty people advertising them at high prices on ebay etc but they dont sell.
